Anime is currently listed under the “Animation” genre. Media culture separates Japanese anime from Western animation, and I think WeTrakr should reflect that
Additionally also add Donghua for Chinese and Aeni for Korean animation respectively. This is also the feature Trakt has by splitting “CJK Anime” into 2-3 subgenre

I second this, Anime should be a separate media type

yes on anime being it’s own genre.
it’s currently listed as a keyword for a show in the API, and it appears reliable. that can be a workaround

yea but the dev would have to make his own custom genres using conditions from TMDB such as keywords or production country

Made a similar post but for anime to be a separate media type instead of just a genre.
